Faunara quests and exploration: find your next objective
Use Faunara’s Journey information, map and current dialogue together to find the next objective. Town activities, wilderness exploration and tall-grass encounters serve different purposes.

Separate where from what
The map is useful for orientation, but it does not replace the current objective. When you are unsure what to do, first read Journey or the active task, then use the map to locate the relevant area. Revisit the most recent conversation if the objective names a person or a prerequisite.
A reliable early habit is to identify one landmark before leaving town. It gives you a clear return point after a battle or a resource trip. Travel advice in this guide is an original navigation routine; it is not a claim that every registered location has received a complete walkthrough.
Towns and wilderness are different
Sanctuary cities and their attached outskirts follow different design rules from wilderness routes. In particular, the approved city rules exclude the explorable mountain structures and their associated encounters and gates; wilderness exploration retains its own mountain content.
Do not treat a landmark visible at the edge of a scene as proof of an accessible dungeon entrance. Use the actual route, collision and task prompts. This is especially useful while the game is receiving world and scenery updates.
Know which grass creates encounters
The approved outdoor random-encounter rule requires walking through tall grass. Short meadow groundcover is safe scenery. That distinction helps you plan a deliberate battle trip instead of expecting every grassy surface to trigger combat.
Before seeking encounters, inspect your party and supplies. If you are only trying to reach a story character, choose your path with the same distinction in mind. For catching rather than merely encountering fauna, follow the capture guide.
A practical stuck-objective checklist
- Read the active objective's exact wording.
- Check whether a dialogue, reward or confirmation is still open.
- Locate the named person or place with the map.
- Check the previous task's required completion step.
- Confirm that you are continuing the intended save slot.
A source catalog can contain planned, registered and currently connected content. Those states are not equivalent. This guide does not turn the registered chapter or quest counts into a promise that every branch is finished. Where a route has not been verified, the public guide should say so.
Leave yourself a clear return point
Before stopping, note the current objective and use the game's save flow. A long gap between sessions is easier to recover from when you know both the task and the location. The save guide covers storage precautions; the controls guide covers Map, Bag and interaction defaults.
