Faunara combat guide: movement, moves and energy

Faunara combat combines positioning, equipped fauna moves and energy management. Trainers command their fauna; bursts, dodges and committed attacks have different roles and should be learned separately.

Know which character is fighting

Your trainer explores, evades and gives commands. The active fauna performs its equipped moves. When a fight begins, locate the creature, the target, the health display and the move/energy information before trying a combo. A command that appears ineffective can be a range or recovery issue rather than a missing attack.

Moves have authored phases and properties. An attack can commit before its visible contact, and a creature may need to recover before accepting another action. Repeatedly pressing every button makes those phases harder to read. Start with one reliable move, watch it complete and then add another decision.

Distinguish movement tools

ToolUseful purposeImportant boundary
Ordinary movementPosition and face the opponentDoes not make an attack reach farther by itself
Run-button fauna burstReposition quicklyNot an invulnerability action
DodgeEvade using its own rulesHas its own cost and recovery
Equipped attackApply a specific moveRequires the relevant readiness, energy and target conditions

The current approved burst is a short steerable movement action. It is separate from the dodge, which retains its own energy and cooldown rules. Do not budget every movement press as though it were the same resource action.

Build a readable first battle

Choose an early encounter and practice three things: entering range, using one move and returning to a useful position. Then watch the energy meter after a second move. That small loop teaches more than opening with every expensive option.

Read move descriptions for range and purpose. A projectile, a contact lunge and a stationary action need different positioning. Visual fire or smoke is feedback, not proof of an unlisted damage bonus. See types and matchups before importing another game's effectiveness chart.

Recover before the next encounter

After a battle, inspect your party, health and supplies. A narrowly won fight can leave you poorly prepared for the next one. Trainer progression is battle-earned in the approved design; a quest completion should not be assumed to grant trainer XP.

Online arenas also depend on room and match state. A ready check or shared announcement is not a paused practice screen. Use Rekka Arena and online features to understand those boundaries. The advice here is an original learning routine based on current combat rules, not an assertion that every move and encounter has been individually balanced in this review.
