Pokémon HOME on Switch vs. mobile: what is different?

The Switch and mobile versions of Pokémon HOME share a collection when linked to the same Nintendo Account, but they expose different features. Use Switch for supported game connections and mobile for its trading and gift features.

One collection, two interfaces

Linking the same Nintendo Account is the important connection. Using similar display names or the same phone email without checking the account does not establish that both apps point to the same HOME data.

If something appears missing, verify the linked account before moving more Pokémon or starting a new setup. A collection mismatch is easier to diagnose before adding another transfer.

The Switch version connects to games

Supported Switch games are managed through the console version’s connection workflow. Read which Pokémon can enter the selected game; the presence of a species in HOME is not enough.

Different connected games can treat moves and other data differently. Inspect the destination prompts and keep the original game save intact while learning the workflow.

Mobile has separate features

The official site describes mobile trading options and Mystery Gifts. Some features have account, age, device or plan restrictions. A missing option should be checked against those requirements rather than treated as proof that the collection has vanished.

GO transfer setup also uses the mobile HOME introduction and the connected Nintendo Account. Read the one-way transfer rules before sending anything from GO.

Plan status follows the account

Basic and Premium features are not two separate subscriptions merely because you use two devices. Confirm the current plan on the account you intend to use, especially before a Bank migration.

For troubleshooting, write down which version, device and feature is involved. “HOME will not trade” and “the Switch game will not accept this form” describe different problems and need different support instructions.
