Pokémon on mobile

How to start using Pokémon HOME

Install Pokémon HOME on the devices you need and link the same Nintendo Account so both versions access the same collection. HOME stores and moves eligible Pokémon; it is not a playable replacement for their original games.

Connect the right account first

Before moving anything, verify the Nintendo Account used on Switch and on mobile. Two different accounts can lead to two different collections even when the profile names look similar.

Complete the app’s introduction and inspect the available features. The Switch version handles connections to supported Switch games, while mobile offers functions such as supported trades and Mystery Gifts. The two versions complement each other.

Begin with a small move

Choose a supported game, inspect a Pokémon you are comfortable moving and read the destination restrictions. Confirm that it appears where expected before moving a large collection.

HOME’s compatibility list determines which games connect, and a destination game must accept the species and form. Storing a Pokémon in HOME does not make it usable in every linked game.

Basic and Premium are different plans

The official site currently lists a Basic storage allowance of 30 and Premium storage of 9,000 Pokémon. Premium also enables particular features, including Bank transfers while that service remains available. Check current plan details before paying for a specific task.

A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not the same product as HOME Premium. Do not assume one includes the other.

Know the irreversible routes

GO-to-HOME and Bank-to-HOME transfers do not provide a return trip into the source. Check the route before sending a favorite, and remember that the full game save stays outside HOME.

The displayed check date matters for service-dependent features. Bank has an announced shutdown, and new game connections can arrive through updates rather than being available from a game’s first release.
