Know what you are installing

Insurgence is a standalone Pokémon fan game. It is not a Nintendo eShop title and not a GBA cartridge file for mGBA. The developer site describes its features and provides the intended download routes.

The download section distinguishes an installer, a full download and patch-only files. Start with the option suited to your situation rather than choosing the smallest file. A patch without the base game cannot supply everything a first installation needs.

A sensible first setup

Updating should preserve a recovery copy
