That is a different product from the earlier Nintendo Switch Sports. Check the exact title and platform rather than assuming it is a free update to the older game.

Plan the room and controllers

The listing supports TV and tabletop modes and marks handheld mode as unsupported. Local player counts and controller requirements should therefore be read before planning a portable or group session.

Motion control also makes clear play space and an appropriate controller setup part of the practical preparation. The supported count can depend on the individual sport; the overall product player count should not be taken as a promise that every activity uses four people identically.
